Philosophy

The Good Company HR philosophy is this - be in charge of your company story. This means having an intentional approach to HR systems and understand how they support  the success (or failure) of good companies. Good systems help both you and your employee find your voice and take charge of your path.  This makes for the best company - and individual - stories.

About

Good Company HR was founded in 2015 by Nicolle Farup. While working for dynamic, brand-driven and high growth small companies over the past 20 years, Nicolle realized that smaller companies were often not understood by or were afraid of traditional HR. She also learned that regardless of whether the company is big or small, high profile or not sexy at all, every company needs to be mindful of how they manage their people. Her unique path enables her to be flexible and strategic in her thinking and practice.

Nicolle has worked with many companies including the Independent Publishing Resource Center (IPRC), Stumptown Comics, Inc., Parnell Design, Schoolhouse Electric & Supply Co., Rudy's Barbershops, Portland Mercury and the Stranger.

Nicolle is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) through the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and a Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP).  Additionally Nicolle has a certificate in Human Resources Management from Portland State University.
